Dr. Trevor Miranda earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Waterloo in 1995. Shortly after graduation, he relocated to Vancouver Island, where he has been proudly serving the Cowichan Valley with comprehensive eye care for nearly three decades.
Dr. Miranda is the co-founder of myretina.ca, an initiative focused on increasing access and awareness around retinal disease management. He is also the co-founder and host of the Optometry Unleashed podcast, dedicated to empowering optometrists and sharing insights from across the profession.
2015 Optometrist of the Year, British Columbia Association of Optometrists, recognizing his dedication to exceptional patient care and professional leadership.
Passionate about mentoring the next generation of optometrists and actively supports clinical development across Canada. Outside the clinic, Dr. Miranda enjoys golf, hockey, pickleball, coaching soccer, and time with his wife Cheryl and their three children.
